Shahid Rajaeei Port Ascends to Heyday
The managing director of Hormozgan Province Ports and Maritime Organization stated: thanks to the implementation of JCPOA and the strategies of Rouhani's administration, what happened at Shahid Rajaeei port was a giant leap.
Elaheh Murad Afifi Pour announced that a new project has been commenced in Shahid Rajaeei port, MANA correspondent reported, in this project, three Oil Wharves with the capacity of 100 thousand tons are supposed to be built.
Announcing that Ports and Maritime Organization has allocated a 160-Billion Toman fund for this project, Murad Afifi Pour predicted that by the accomplishment of the project, 34 million tons will be added to embarkation and disembarkation capacity.
Elaborating on the importance of Oil Wharves in Shahid Rajaeei port, he proposed: these projects provide excellent support for Iranian refineries particularly Setare Khalij Fars Refinery.
One of the main merits of these wharfs is that they are able to accept vessels with the capacity of over 500 to 100 thousand tons, Afifi Pour added, vessels will receive services of bunkering and embarking and disembarking of oil and petrochemical products .
With regards to Shahid Rajaeei port performance in post-JCPOA era, he asserted: this port experienced a giant leap.
This official further stated: in the last three months, Shahid Rajaeei port has experienced a 40- percent ascend in the container operation sector.
