Ro-Ro and Container Ship Collide
The car carrier City of Amsterdam collided with the container ship Conmar Bay in the Kiel Canal, Germany, on Saturday at around noon.
According to MANA, The vessels were transiting the North-Baltic Sea Canal in opposite directions when Force 9 winds forced the westbound car carrier across the path of the container ship.
There are no reports of injuries, but several containers went overboard.
A tug has assisted City of Amsterdam to port, and Conmar Bay has sailed on to Kiel.
