According to MANA, the cranes, which will be used to handle containers on board the company's two liquefied natural gas-powered Commitment-class container ro-ro vessels, will be delivered to terminal operator Crowley Puerto Rico Services later in March.
Measuring 65 m tall with a 40 m outreach, each crane will be able to handle 65 tons.
The cranes were built by Liebherr Container Cranes, which is a unit of the Liebherr Group in Ireland and are part of the infrastructure investments Crowley is making.
Other upgrades include a new pier, container staging areas, reefer plugs, truck gates and container handling equipment.
Crowley, based in Jacksonville, Florida is investing more than $130m of its $550m total project cost in infrastructure improvements to its Isla Grande terminal.
