Bushehr to Hold Maritime Labour Convention Workshop
One-day Maritime Labour Convention Workshop will be held on Saturday 7th January 2017 at Port and Maritime Organization conference hall, Bushehr.
The workshop will be presented by Mohammad Vaferi, official trainer certified by ILO and lecturer of Netherlands Maritime University, who has over 22 years’ experience of working within the shipping industry, MANA correspondent reported.
This MLC practical workshop has been designed to provide guidance and good level of understanding of requirements of the convention to the ship owners, ships’operators and officers, government officials and to those responsible for the application of the MLC, 2006 on board on the steps to be taken in order to ensure compliance with the Convention on board and offices.
The activity is focused on the MLC, 2006 requirements on board ship, particularly on the measures and documentation needed to ensure ongoing compliance with those requirements, as well as relevant aspects of flag State inspection ,port State control and the complaint procedures.
