Additionally, the union informed that the Seamen Union would hold 48-hour strikes until December 9, when talks will be held on possible further actions, MANA correspondent reported.
Further industrial actions follow a 48-hour strike organized by Seamen’s Union in Greece from 2-4 December, according to maritime services provider Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS).
The strike, which affected all domestic and local ferry routes to and from Piraeus to the Greek Islands, also included the Crew Union of the Tug boats.
The earlier strike action, which affected operations at the ports of Piraeus, Aspropyrgos, Eleusis and Pachi/Megara, was called by the union in response to the Government’s planned changes to labour and insurance rights, pensions and retirement ages.
