The stockholders of Iran o Hind Shipping Company have reached an agreement for resuming the activities of this company like the pre-sanctions era .
In an interview with MANA reporter, The director of Iran o Hind Shipping Company stated: Iran o Hind Shipping Company is a joint company between Iran and India which 51% of its share belongs to Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and the rest remains for India state-owned shipping company.
jamshid khalili continued: by purchasing bulk carriers and selling old vessels, this company gradually expanded its activities in the international trade.
With regards to the container activities of Iran o Hind Shipping Company, Khalili remarked: since purchasing two container ships in 1998, this company had started to play a more active role in container trade between Persian Gulf and India.
He added: considering proper income in carrying bulk and refrigerated goods, Iran-India shipping company purchased India Supermax bulk carriers as well as send its old vessels for scrapping.
Stating that purchasing suezmax oil tankers was a new phase for commencing activity of Iran o Hind Shipping Company, jamshid khalili remarked: this kind of oil tanker could provide a proper income like bulk carrier and reefer ships.
Referring to the problems resulted from imposing sanctions against Iran , he asserted: in the light of implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA) and the suggestion which proposed by the Iranian side , finally in Annual General Assembly which was held in June 2016 ,The stockholders of Iran o Hind Shipping Company have reached an agreement for resuming the activities of the mentioned company like the pre-sanctions era.
