The Initial Audit of NITC Obtained
By virtue of ISM Code, National Iranian Tanker Co. (NITC) could finally gain Document of Compliance (DoC) from both DNV GL and Asia Classification Societies.
Following the agreement of cooperation signed between Asia and DNV GL classification societies, initial audit of NITC has been approved by the required measurements of International Safety Management (ISM) Code, MANA correspondent reported.
According to the report, DOC issued after the related studies of safety management system of NITC have been done by three days.
In line with the report, NITC is called the world's biggest oil fleet due to its domestic gross tonnage which is recorded at 15.5 million.
It's worth mentioning that preparation and implementation of international standards of safety management are mandated purposes of ISM Code due to safe operation of ships and marine pollution prevention.
