Shahid Rajaee Port Absorbs 1 Billion USD Worth of Investment

The director of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization announced that the private sector has invested over 30,000 billion Rials – 1 billion US dollars – in Shahid Rajaee Port.

Announcing that Iran's commercial ports' capacity has reached over 210 million tons, Saeednejad stated that Iran's ports enjoy a perfect position in the region thanks to the support they receive from 10 thousand kilometers of railway route and 100 thousand kilometers of highway.
Saeednejad stated: in the world strategic region, Iran would facilitate access to North international corridors, Southeast and the west of Middle Asia countries, Southeast Asia, Russia, Persian Gulf and free international waters.
He continued: passing major international corridor from Iran, easy access to regional markets, being located at a safe and stable region, allocating discount and tariff facilities for goods transit are among the merits of using Iranian routes.
Mohammad Saeednejad reminded: possessing 5800 kilometer coast besides the international waters, Iran enjoys a unique maritime status in the region. Shahid Rajaee port, he added, as a gateway for exports and imports with an area of 2400 hectares could play a paramount role in the region.
Saeednejad proposed: in order to the development of Shahid Rajaee, Imam Khomeini , Chabahar, Anzali and Amir Abad ports, Islamic Republic of Iran has put proper plans on its agenda.
Demanding the expansion of Iran-Belgian ties, Belgian Ambassador to Tehran remarked: without the presence of Iran, the stability in the Persian Gulf is not possible. hence, expanding ties with Iran is our top priority.
He continued: both Shahid Rajaee Port and Antwerp port could pave the way for promoting commercial trade between Iran and Belgian.
