Asia-Australia New Services to be Launched
HONG Kong-based Orient Overseas Container Line, Australia-based ANL and Cosco Container Lines (Coscon) have teamed up to provide dedicated northeast Asia-Australia services
According to MANA,The three shipping lines, under their newly formed Asia Australia consortium (A3), will provide three dedicated services connecting 10 major northeast Asian ports with Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in Australia.
The A3 is planning to launch the new services either in September or October, subject to regulatory approval, the statement said.
"The products will provide a much more competitive service and comprehensive coverage in the north east Asia/Australia market when compared to current service offerings," OOCL said in message to customers posted on its website.
Melbourne-based ANL is part of CMA CGM, the world's third-largest container shipping company..
