 In a joint meeting with diplomatic-economic delegation from Senegal in Shahid Rajaeei Port, Ebrahim Idani stated: with the launching the maritime route between Shahid Rajaeei Ports and Dakar,the exports goods from Iran to Africa Market will be facilitated.
He continued: through Shahid Rajaeei Port in Hormoz Strait ,Dakar Port is able to transit goods from West Africa region to Middle Asia countries, Persian Gulf and Southeast Asia.
Referring to the strategic position of both ports in the region, The director of Hormozgan Province Ports and Maritime Organization remarked: Shahid Rajaeei Port is prepared to share its technical skills and knowledge in the fields of off-shore, maritime training and Port Construction with West Africa countries.
Regarding the signing long-term contracts with foreign investors, Idani remarked: in order to collaboration with foreign investors, long-term contracts have been prepared in form of BOT.
According to this official figure, all Shahid Rajaeei Port’s lands are at disposal of the private sector and commuting shipping lines from Africa to this port, he added, in accordance with the normal standard, are being provided with services in Petroleum and Non-Petroleum sectors.
Making a reference to the development of Shahid Rajaeei Port’s infrastructures, Idani remarked: in order to development of infrastructures in Shahid Rajaeei Port, Ports and Maritime Organization have taken considerable measures and will welcome the cooperation of foreign corporations in some parts.
The director of Dakar Port stated: Senegal intends to conduct port activities and carrying goods in West Africa region with the collaboration of Shahid Rajaeei Port, in a way that, maritime trade ties between the two countries be promoted more than ever.
