For the purpose of developing capacities and offering services in the maritime sector, oil and gas, MANA reported, an agreement for establishing joint company between Iranian Classification Society (ICS) and South Korea Register of Shipping (KR) was singed at the headquarters of ICS.
In this ceremony, the director of South Korea Register of Shipping (KR) stated: it is hoped to promote staff training and other services to customers.
Regarding the history of cooperation between South Korea Register Shipping and Iranian Classification Society, he added, we have been cooperating with ICS in the fields of research, inspection, training and other services since 2009.with the beginning of imposing sanctions against Iran, he further stated, we did not stop our cooperation and currently, we are interested in the enhancement of these cooperation.
the director of Korea Register of Shipping (KR)remarked: it is hoped that the mutual cooperation between Iran and South Korea will result in the membership of Iran in the International Association of Classification Societies.
