The Growth of Container In Hormozgan Ports

Hormozgan Province Maritime and Port ‘s general director announced that Hormozgan Province’s Ports would be witnessed the embarkation and disembarkation of over 70 million tons of petroleum and non-petroleum goods in the current year.

The Growth of Container In Hormozgan PortsAccording to MANA, Ebrahim Eidni elaborated on the report of 10-months performance of  Hormozgan Province's ports in 2015, and stated: among the total operation, 43,567,257 tons of non-petroleum goods and 27,133,369 tons of petroleum materials were exported. 
Referring to the export of 21,331,449 tons of non-petroleum goods abroad, he added: the volume of transit of goods reaches 3,836,19 tons since March 2015 up to now.
Hormozgan Province Maritime and Port ‘s general director s remarked: the volume of cabotage (coastal transportation)for non-petroleum goods reaches 8.248.486 tons, he further stated:8.176.318 tons non-petroleum goods have been imported to Iran, which this figure highlights a 28-percent fall in this sector of port operation.
According to Eidni ,during the mentioned period,91.898 tons non-petroleum goods have been transshipped via Hormozgan Province trade ports.
He asserted:668.959 tons of petroleum derivatives and   products have been transshipped via Hormozgan Province’s terminals of ports ,which this figure indicates a 45-percent ascent. he continued:9.839.292 tons of these goods have been exported abroad, which highlights a rise of 18-percent.
Ebrahin Eidini also stressed that the volume of cabotage (costal transportation) reaches 14,745,391 tons in this current year.
Pointing out the performance of containers in the ports, Hormozgan Province Maritime and Port ‘s general director stated: during this period,1.391.907 TEU containers have been embarked and disembarked in the container terminals of Hormozgan Province ‘s commercial trade, with included :1.23.569 TEU full containers and 368.338 TEU empty containers.
