100 % Equity possession for Foreign Investors in Anzali Port

The director of Ports and Shipping Organization of Guilan Province announced that foreign investors enjoy the right to invest in various fields in Anzali Port and possess 100 % of their equity.

100 % Equity possession for Foreign Investors in Anzali  PortSeyed Ali Naimi stated to MANA reporter that the authorities of the German company of Baywa paid a visit to Anzali Port, and as well, sat with the director of Ports and Shipping Organization of Guilan Province.
Delving into the details of Baywa's visit and pointing out the special privileges considered for foreign investors, Naimi asserted that foreign investors now could invest in Anzali Port, and possess 100% of their equity as well.
Moreover, Naimi emphasized that Anzali Port offers more privileges in comparison with other Iranian ports, such as exemption from taxes and duties owing to being a free zone, appropriate lots with necessary equipment, being located inside the city, and the cooperation of provincial authorities .
He continued that in 2015 only, Baywa Co. managed to export 5 million tons of grains to countries of Caspian Sea region including Iran through Ukraine, and these days, it is expressing its interest to invest in grains in Anzali Port, as the sanctions are being lifted.
In the meeting with the representatives of Baywa Co., Naimi further remarked, the Ports and Shipping Organization of Guilan Province submitted a proposal, expressing its interest to collaborate with this German group in the exports of vegetables and fruits – namely, flowers and plants.
The management authorities of this company, who are stationed in Munich, will travel to Iran in the upcoming months to probe the conditions for the export of these products.
Regarding the investment of this company in Iran, the director of Ports and Shipping Organization of Guilan Province stressed that we discussed each and every negotiable aspect of this investment in the course of this visit; yet we did not put any specific figure for investment on the table.
