All IRISL Vessels off the Sanctions' List

The official website of Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced that all the vessels that belong to Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) have been crossed out from the list of 8-year sanctions.

All IRISL Vessels off the Sanctions According to MANA's report, OFAC's official website announced that all the directors, corporations, and all the vessels in the fleet of IRISL have been eliminated from the sanctions' list.
The IRISL and its sub-group companies had undergone OFAC sanctions for 22 times since September 2008. Of these 22 sanction cases, 20 cases were imposed after the approval of resolution 1929 in July 2010.
Moreover, since March 2011, OFAC had issued and imposed 13 sanctions cases and 2 directives against IRISL. Overall, OFAC had imposed sanctions on 132 companies and 16 IRISL directors, which was the largest number among the Iranian organizations and institutions undergoing sanctions.
