MSC Maya, operated by the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), was designed to transport a total of as many as 19,224 20-foot containers, which – when put one after the other – would stretch out in a line over 117 km long.
Built in 2015, the 196,000 dwt vessel is 396 meters long and 59 meters wide and has a gross tonnage of 193,000.
