Chabahar- Kandla Port Direct Line Established

With the establishment of a direct container line between Iran 's Chabahar port and India’s Kandla port, the time distance between the two countries will be decreased to less than two days.

In order to establish a quick and direct connection for container transportation between the ports of Iran and India , Iran has attempted to launching a direct line for carrying container from Mundra port and Kandla port to Chabahar port with the cooperation of Azad Chabahar Organization, MANA correspondent reported.
Through this Line, two vessels belong to Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line will transport the shipments of India’s ports to Chabahar port.
According to this report, Arezo ship in its first voyage transported 300 containers from Kandla port and Yaran ship in its first voyage transported 141 containers from Mundra port to Chabahar port.
Launching this line could bring the advantage of transit time for both merchants and goods owners.
It must be added that the establishment of direct container line between Chabahar and Kandla would have a paramount effect on activating transit corridor in Eastern parts of Iran as well as economic development in this region.
