According to MANA, These terminals will be able to handle up to 100 million tons of cargo per year, which is more than the annual tonnage handling of the largest ports in this country such as Lazaro Cardenas and Manzanillo.
The new facilities will include a container terminal, a multipurpose terminal, a terminal for liquid cargoes and bulk terminals.
Scheduled to commence in summer 2017, the works are expected to be completed in March 2018.
