Iran, Italy Sign MOU on Maritime Cooperation
Amirabad Port Special Economic Zone and Ancona Port authorities signed a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on maritime and port cooperation.
The director of Amirabad Port Special Economic Zone stated: during the trip of Iranian economic delegation to Italy, a MOU was signed on maritime and port ties as well as mutual investment between Amirabad Port and Ancona Port authorities, MANA correspondent reported.
Referring to the special location of Amirabad Port on the route of International North-South Transport Corridor and having access to CIS countries, Ali Khidmatguzar remarked: based on this MOU, Amirabad Port would play a significant role in transiting goods from Central Asia countries to Europe.
He added: providing facilities to Italian investors for investment in the industry of building ferry vessels in Amirabad Port Special Economic Zone is another article of this MOU.
