Maersk Supply Service to cut

Maersk Supply Service (MSS) is making further cuts and will reducing its onshore staff strength by 25%.

Maersk Supply Service to cutAccording to MANA, MSS said that up to 65 offshore staff positions were likely to be elminated globally in the face of struggling offshore market.
“We realise that the announcement is very unsettling for our employees. This is an unfortunate, but necessary step to ensure our organisation reflects the current market reality,” said Jørn Madsen, ceo of MSS.
The news follows an announcement in August that it would be divesting 20 vessels and making 400 seafarers redundant.
“A rightsizing of our organisation is necessary to protect the long-term sustainability of our business,” Madsen.
MSS is part of the new AP Moller – Maersk energy division unveiled on 22 September
