Bandar Abbas- Khasab Port Passenger Line Launched
Maritime Passenger line of Bandar Abbas- Khasab Port commenced its activities at the presence of Iran-Oman authorities.
The director of Shahid Bahonar Ports and Maritime organization, Mohammad Mohseni stated to MANA reporter that in the light of negotiations made and at the presence of the Secretaries of industry mine and trade of the two countries, Bandar Abbas- Khasab Port Passenger Line as well as Bandar Abbas- Shinas Port Trade Line had officially launched.
With regards to the possibility of weekly commute of passengers between Iran-Oman through sea, he remarked: currently, an Omani vessel transfers the passenger through this Maritime Passenger line.
.He continued: Oman vessel enjoys the capacity of 100 people which is able to carry 22-24 cars.
The director of Shahid Bahonar Ports and Maritime Organization proposed: with launching this passenger line, the proper opportunity has been provided for continuous travelling of Iranian people to Oman and vice versa.
It should not be left unmentioned that the length of maritime route between Bandar Abbas- Khasab Port is equal to 71 mile 114 kilometer.
