Cosco Shipping orders four asphalt carriers
COSCO Shipping, the specialised vessel arm of China Cosco Shipping Group, has ordered four asphalt carriers via a subsidiary at Chengxi Shipyard, the owner said in a statement.
According to MANA,Delivery of the 7,800 dwt vessels is scheduled from 2018, though prices were not disclosed.Cosco Shipping expects to post a net profit of Yuan36.7m ($5.5m) for the first half of 2016, down from Yuan538.8m net profit in the year-ago period, it said in a profit guidance statement.
Chengxi, a subsidiary yard of China State Shipbuilding Corp, has 47 vessels on order — mostly ultramax bulk carriers — according to data from Clarksons.
