Singapore port box throughput up slightly

Shanghai port, the world's busiest container port, registered a 5.1% throughput growth in July from a year earlier, moving 3.27m teu, its second consecutive month of year-on-year throughput growth, data from the Shanghai International Port Group showed last week.
For the first seven months of 2016, Shanghai port handled 21.16m teu, marginally higher than the 21.14m teu in the January-July period of the previous year, Shanghai-listed SIPG data showed.
