Nitrin Gadkari,the Indian Minister of road transport , Highway and shipping stated: India, Afghanistan and Iran aim at signing an agreement for the development of strategic transportation, which could be regarded as a historical event.

A Historical Event in Iran, India and Afghanistan Relationship According to MANA, Nitin Gadkari which is accompanied by the prime minister of India,Narendra Damodardas Modi, remarked: this agreement should be regarded as a gold opportunity for mutual growth, he added, this could also open a new chapter in the relationship between Iran- India.
The former India prime minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, had taken a strategic approach and signed an agreement with Iran in the field of constructing Chabahar Port, but the process of constructing this project was stopped for many years.
In the period of Damodardas Modi, the current India Minister of road transport ,Highway and shipping, an agreement on Chabahar Port development was signed, which could be considered as a remarkable achievement.
Elaborating on the merits of this project: Nitin Gadkari asserted: while India suffers from the lack of gas, electronic and gas are cheaper in Iran, he added, steel and aluminium industries could be developed in Iran due to inexpensive gas and electronic.
In the end, he emphasized: with opening this new way, we would be able to expand our trades with Russia and Afghanistan to Europe which could be beneficial both for Iran and India.
