Remarkable Performance of Bahonar Port

The director of Ports and Maritime Organization stated: in the current year, Shahid Bahonar Port has witnessed the export of over 48,000 and 18,000 tons of non-petroleum and petroleum goods, respectively. These figures highlight a 138- percent ascent in non-petroleum and 310-percent increase in petroleum sector.

Remarkable Performance of Bahonar PortSubmitting a report on the performance of Shahid Bahonar Port in April 2016, MANA reported, Mohammad Mohseni remarked: since Early April 2016 to Early May 2016,Shahid Bahonar Port experienced the embarkation and disembarkation of 112,136 tons of petroleum and non-petroleum goods, which this figure depicts a 64-percent growth compared to the same period in the last year.

According to Mohseni ,chemical materials, agriculture, mineral material, tar, fruits, ironware and building material were among export goods from Shahid Bahonar Port to Persian Gulf countries and Indian Ocean countries.
Referring to the embarkation and disembarkation operations of 18TEU container in the course of the current year, he added: in the last month,268 vessels docked at Shahid Bahonar Port, which this figure shows 11% growth.
It should not be left unmentioned that: merits such as enjoying 12 Dock Posts, connection to the free international waters, being located in the vicinity of Persian Gulf countries, connection to North-South corridor via International Road Network, possessing appropriate draught for docking various kinds of vessels, have turned Shahid Bahonar Port into a strategic and paramount commercial hub in the region.
