According to MANA international group, United States’ shipping line information service AXS Alphaliner has put IRISL in the 22nd rank in its latest ranking of the best world shipping companies.
Possessing 155 vessels with the capacity of 120.79 TEU and 5.131.002 DWT, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping line (IRISL) has occupied 22nd rank in the best world shipping companies ranking.
It should not be left unmentioned that Maersk Line Shipping Company which possesses 611 vessels with the capacity of 3.085.233 TEU occupies the top position in the best world shipping companies ranking.
It is noteworthy that of the total,267 vessels owned by Maersk Line Shipping Company and the remaining 344 vessels have been leased.
Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC)which possesses 446 vessels with the capacity of 2.680.153 TEU holds the second position among the best world shipping companies.
The third rank is belong to French shipping company( CMA CGM) which enjoys 456 vessels with the capacity of 1.792.807 TEU.
Promoting IRISL ranking and Reaching the position it deserves in the international level are among the most significant objectives of Dr. Mohammad Saeedi, IRISL director and head of the Board at Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines , MANA reported.
