According to MANA, Nitin Gadkari remarked: the construction of joint ports between Iran-India will be performed with the aim of enhancing trade and commercial exchanges as well as Maritime cooperation.
With reference to the significance of the development of Chabahar Port in expanding Iran-India relationship, he further stated: New Delhi is interested in expanding Chabahar Port and its connection to Kandla Port
Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways asserted: connection between Chabahar Port and Kandla Port will leave positive effect on India. Expanding Chabahar Port, he added, will pave the way for India to have an easy access to Afghanistan, Middle East and Russia.
