The general director of Maritime and Ports organization stated: Chabahar Port ‘s first phase will be launched in the upcoming year. this port enjoys the capacity of 6 million tons .

With reference to taken measures by maritime sectors to develop coast, to innovate and to supply equipment, to create maritime culture and job opportunities ,MANA reported, Mohammad Saeed Nezhad added: Chabahar Port ‘s first phase will be launched in the upcoming year. this port enjoys the capacity of 6 million tons .
The general director of Maritime and Port organization deemed that use of maritime sources is not restricted to Iranian people, and stated: given taken measures and provided equipment and facilities, other countries could benefit from these privileges, in this light, commodities transit from Iran and its use for land-locked countries is among stable policies of Islamic Republic of Iran.
Further to the new condition in the post-sanctions era, Deputy minister of road and urban development remarked: utilization of Iranian coasts and ports have been warmly welcomed by foreign investors and major companies expressed their interest to investment in Iranian ports, hence, currently, we witness a tough competition between major companies over investment in Iran ,he further stated: taking into account national interests, we set some conditions for signing an MOU with these companies. 
Pointing out the policies of Maritime and Ports organization ,he stated: in the light of execution of resistance policies to absorb foreign investors and to utilize these opportunities , MOUs and investment agreements are being signed, one of which is Indian investment agreement in Chabahar Port .he continued: one of the merits of Chabahar port is its near distance to ocean and India, sailing through the sea, India is approximately 4 days away from Chabahar, hence it is a golden opportunity and in this light, two specific directives for investing in Chabahar Port have been approved by Indian government.
The general director of Maritime and Port organization added: given the maritime and land dominance of Iran and the security that rules over all parts of country, is regarded as a target country for investment.
Deputy minister of road and urban development asserted: Iranian ports enjoys the capacity of 200 million tons ,which this figure could rise to 250 million tons with the implementation of developmental designs, the necessary equipment for all ports which possesses installation, will be supplied, he continued.
